Dursley joined the nation in paying its respects to the fallen this afternoon.

The parade, led by Wotton Silver Band, set off from in May Lane and made its way to St James’ Church for the Act of Remembrance at 3pm.

Stroud MP Dr Simon Opher and town mayor Cllr Alex Stennett were the first to lay wreaths on the War Memorial Gates at St James’ Church, followed by representatives of organisations in the town.

Wreaths will be laid tomorrow (Monday 11th November) at 11am at the World War Two Memorial, near the Pavilion on the Recreation Ground.
