More than 100 people listened to speakers at a rally for Gaza organised by young people of Stroud. Speakers included Robin Cockcroft-Ellis from Stroud-based Radical Youth Space for Education (RYSE).

One of the speakers, Asher Courts, from Horsley, whose parents are Jewish and Palestinian said: “More than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed, including 8,000 children.

“We are asking MP Siobhan Baillie to help save more children being killed by supporting a ceasefire and urging the Prime Minister to support international efforts calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities.”

During the rally people danced the Dabke to Palestinian music, a dance that signifies hope and history of the Palestinians.
