Can you help make the cycle path tunnel safer?

Volunteers are needed this weekend to brighten up the dingy tunnel on the cycle path at Dudbridge, near Sainsburys, close to where a rape took place this year.

Chrissie Lowery, founder of Safe Space, a community of businesses that provide a safe and secure place for women to go to if they are being followed or feel under threat, has organised the event and needs people to help: “We need helpers for Saturday and Sunday.

“Saturday from 1.30pm to clean – this is a huge job and we could do with a jet washer but not sure how we can set that up, so if anyone has any ideas that would be great.

“Sunday is for priming and painting, and Travis Perkins are donating paint brushes and rollers, white spirit and bags, but I am sure we will need more.”

If you can help, contact Chrissie on 07891162140 or just turn up on the day.
