Detectives have charged a man with murder after the body of a woman was found in a flat in Stroud.
Emma Potter, 40, was found dead when police were called to her home at Chapel Street in Stroud on Friday, November 4, after concerns were raised by a neighbour.
Joe Rankin, 33 and of Langtoft Road, Stroud, was remanded in custody to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court later today, (Monday, November 14
The death was initially treated as unexplained, but the results of a post-mortem examination led to a murder investigation being opened.
Emma’s body is believed to have been undiscovered for some time.
The Major Crime Investigation Team is still keen to hear from anyone with any relevant information that could assist, particularly anyone who knew Emma.
