Smiths Barometrics 0 Chalford AFC 6

Prolific Chalford striker Jack Hughes took his season tally to 41 goals as his hat-trick helped Ben Powell’s side hit Smiths Barometrics for six.

Chalford’s Ryan Harry, Andy Maryon and Jamie Lock completed the rout.

As the season enters the final furlong, promotion-chasing Chalford are a point behind leaders Brockworth Albion, but have three games in hand over the Gloucester side.

Chalford boss Powell pointed to a pivotal moment involving his goalkeeper Billy Thomas: “It could of been a different story if Billy (Thomas) doesn’t save a penalty at 0-0, we started slowly, but we were clinical once we got into our stride.”

Chalford make the short trip to Dursley Town on Wednesday, 6.30pm.
