Celebrating the first year in Brimscombe Mills

The social enterprises that form the Grace Network recently celebrated the first anniversary of their move to Brimscombe Mills.

The Long Table, Kids Stuff, The Bike Drop, and the Furniture Bank moved into the former mill, just over the road from their previous home at Brimscombe Port.

“We love it here, we’ve always been in Brimscombe, and we love the fact we’ve rebuilt a derelict warehouse back into use for the community – a year ago no-one was in here, now we have hundreds of people a day through the doors,” said Jo Mansell of the Grace Network.

And what of plans for the future? “We’ll continue doing what we’re doing, and we want to make it bigger and better if we can – we’ll go with the wind and see what happens,” added Jo.
