Coinciding with the recent cold snap, Minchinhampton-based Longfield Hospice has launched an appeal for winter clothes for its charity shops.
The organisation, which has 20 shops across the county, is urgently calling for people to drop off women’s and men’s and winter clothes.
Without donations, the charity is in danger of running out of winter stock before the end of January, impacting the stores’ ability to raise funds to care for those facing life-limiting illnesses in Gloucestershire.
Laura Owen, Head of Retail said: “Even just one item that you can donate would make such a difference. For people living in Stroud and the local villlages we are asking if you can drop off donations at our Warehouse in Thrupp between 10am and 3pm (Monday to Saturday). It is a tough time for many people, and we need your support more now than ever. Anything that can be spared would be a great help to Longfield Hospice.”
