Police were called following a report that a blue Mini Cooper had left the road by the Bristol and Gloucestershire Gliding Club and collided with a tree at around 1.35pm on Monday, May 13.

The driver of the vehicle – a woman in her 40s – sustained serious injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Police would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage which they believe to be relevant.
