A landmark Stroud building which acts as the register office is closed until the end of February 2025.

The Old Victorian School on Parliament Street caters for the registration of births, marriages and deaths, and for legal notice appointments.

The building is currently closed for maintenance works. A Gloucestershire County Council spokesperson said: “Stroud Register Office is closed from Sunday 20 October to Friday 28 February for maintenance works, which include essential repairs to the roof. Whilst this work is being carried out we are taking the opportunity to update and improve the ceremony room.

“There will be extra appointment availability at our offices in Gloucester, Quedgeley and Cirencester during this period and we apologise for any inconvenience.”
