Jos Hathway, 13, backed up winning the South West Counties Indoor 800m in December with a dramatic victory in the Midland Counties U13 girls race, landing her second regional title.
On a cold day in Leicestershire, a proper, hilly, muddy and technical XC course, Hathway eased into third and with 400m to go she set about securing the silver medal by powering up the final steep climb then by running hard over the top of the hill she closed rapidly on the leader, drawing level 40m from the line and going straight past to take a stunning victory.
Meanwhile, Jos led the Stroud U13 team to the team bronze medal.
Elsewhere, Oscar Redmond led the Stroud U13 boys to team silver and Mille Cossins led the U17 girls to the team bronze.
