An event to celebrate community spirit in Nailsworth will take place on Saturday.

Nailsworth Mayor, Councillor Peter Bodkin will present the town awards to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community the serve.

The awards will be a highlight of Nailsworth’s Annual Town Meeting, taking place from 10.30am to 12.30pm in the town square (bus station).

The Annual Town Meeting offers residents an opportunity to engage directly with town councillors and learn about the council’s achievements and initiatives over the past year. The town square will be transformed with informative stalls hosted by various community groups, showcasing their valuable work and contributions to town life.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the award-winning Nailsworth Silver Band will perform throughout the morning, providing a musical backdrop to this celebration of civic pride.
