Striking images in club’s final competition of the year

Stroud camera Club held its final competition of the year on Thursday evening which was the clubs IMAGE OF THE YEAR in both printed and digital categories.

The judge for this competition was Aleks Gjika EFIAP DPAGB from the Cheltenham club and, as usual, he was very entertaining as well as knowledgeable and helpful with his feedback on all images.

In the Digital section Annie Blick won with her excellent ‘Stage Security’ image. Following closely behind was another great image from Trish Bloodworth with ‘Reach for the Clouds’ and the amazing penguins from Leslie Holmes was third.

There were three Highly Commended images behind them from Francis Mridha, Rene Cason and Richard Atkinson.

In the Print section, Jeff Wilson again took the honours with another great portrait image ‘The green dress and the red apple’.  This was followed by Roger Matthews’ amazing ‘Diced Carrot’ and in third was Trish Bloodworth’s ‘Connections’.

The highly commended images came from Rene Cason and Mark Halling.
