Malty Story Part 2 returns: June 6–8
While venues across the UK respond to the night-time economy crisis with price hikes and exclusive events, Stroud Brewery is flipping the script with a radically accessible and affordable weekend-long celebration—Malty Story Festival 2025, from June 6th–8th.
Returning for a second year after a smash-hit debut in 2024, Malty Story is back with more music, more good vibes, and zero compromise on community. As venues across the country move toward fewer punters and higher spend per head, Stroud Brewery is doubling down on its mission to keep independent events open, inclusive, and fun for everyone.

“Our answer to a tough economic climate isn’t to raise the drawbridge—it’s to throw open the gates,” says Laurence Kapoor, Events Manager at Stroud Brewery. “Malty Story is about championing grassroots culture, supporting local talent, and creating an unforgettable experience that doesn’t break the bank. We’ve even made it possible to enjoy the entire weekend for free—if you show up early!”
A Birthday Bash with Heart—and Rhythm
Celebrating Stroud Brewery’s birthday, Malty Story is a three-day festival that blends local flavour with global sounds. From northern soul and reggae to Spanish folk, turntablism and DnB, the weekend brings together grassroots acts and internationally respected artists on one big, beery stage.

Friday highlights include: Deptford Northern Soul Club, Mr Thing, Captain Accident & The Disasters, The Achievers, Albino Tarantino, Wax Sessions and more. Plus, the Malty Story Night Market brings artisan magic to the Loft from 4–10pm.
Saturday ups the ante with a stacked lineup featuring Prince Fatty & Horseman, Omega Nebula, Earl Gateshead, Future Dub Orchestra, and full venue takeovers from local collectives like Neon Pumps and Full Spectrum D&B.
Sunday is all about community vibes, chilled tunes, and family fun—with sets from Thee Ones, Pebble Daisy, Speed Of Life, The Bob Porter Project, and free kids’ activities from Silly Science, Magnificent Mr Kai, and Club Kids. Feeling fragile? Figment Yoga’s Sunday Morning Rehab in the Loft has your back (and hamstrings).
Food, Beer, and Festival Energy for All
Naturally, the Brewery’s taps will be flowing with your favourite organic pints—plus some exclusive brews made just for the weekend. The kitchen crew is pulling together a special street food menu designed to keep you dancing.

No ticket pre-sales. No VIP velvet ropes. Just great beer, good music, and the kind of community spirit Stroud does best.
