Properties damaged in Forest Green fire

MOST READ

A fire in Forest Green has led to a number of properties being damaged.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Lawnside area of Forest Green in Nailsworth, leaving an acrid smell in the air.

“The smell up here is appalling – it happened at about 3am this morning,” Paddy Coyle told Stroud Times this morning.

“Thankfully, nobody was hurt. But there were adults and children asleep in the houses.

“A window is burnt out, but no houses have burned down – the main fire damage has been caused in the back gardens.”

Police and fire investigators are currently in attendance.
