Three-month road closure hits key road

A busy road towards Dursley is set to be closed for up to three-months.

Severn Trent commenced work on Monday to replace water pipes on the main road between Uley village and Dursley, the project is set to be completed by October 27.

Janine Billington, Community Communications Officer for Severn Trent said: “We are starting a £2.7 million project to replace aging water pipes on Uley Road.

“Due to the narrow width of the road and to keep our teams and road users safe, we will need to put a closure in place during the work. We’ll be working as quickly as possible to get everything back to normal and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
