Robbie Savage’s summer recruitment plan is far from over.
With nine fresh faces already through the Forest Green door, the new boss is expected to dip his toes into the transfer market ahead of the National League opener at Solihull Moors on Saturday, August 9.
His door is likely to be revolving as he eyes a holding and attacking midfield duo to complete his arsenal, but to negate this a number of players are expected to depart with the experienced Liam Sercombe top of the farewell list along with Joe Quigley.

In an honest assessment, Savage said: “There’s a couple of offers for a couple our players and we’re having discussions in the week.
“Sercs (Liam Sercombe) isn’t going to be part of the squad going forward – as are a number of them – I’ve been honest and transparent with them and they’re available – but football changes very quickly, but I expect them to work hard and they’ve done that and have embraced it, but right now there’s people ahead of them.
“Quigs (Joe Quigley) has been working hard, but at the minute, there’s a few ahead of him.”
Rovers play their final pre-season game at home on Friday, August 1, as they host Derby County at 7pm
