Police are appealing for the victim of a suspected sexual assault in Gloucester last week to come forward.

The incident involved a man who is alleged to have grabbed the buttocks of a woman at TK Maxx in Northgate Street, Gloucester.

It happened at around 4.50pm on Tuesday 29 July.

The woman and her friend informed a store manager about the sexual assault and he reported it to police.

Officers attended and after speaking with staff, a man was arrested as he left the store.

However the two women had already left the area before any further details could be taken and attempts to trace them through CCTV proved unsuccessful.

Officers are now urging the two women to come forward in order to provide an account of what happened.

One of the women is described as being in her 20s, with blonde hair and she was wearing black clothing. The other woman is described as being in her 30s, with black hair and she was wearing an orange top.

If you believe you are the women involved in this incident, you are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police through the website, quoting incident 352 of 29 July: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/

A 33-year-old man from Powys was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
