Terrifying A417 near-miss as Range Rover drives into oncoming traffic

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following reports of a dangerous driving incident on the A417.

At around 4.40pm on Thursday, 16 October, officers received reports that the driver of a Range Rover was travelling the wrong way along the northbound carriageway near The Highwayman Inn.

Further calls indicated the vehicle continued driving into oncoming traffic in the direction of Cirencester.

Fortunately, no collisions were reported. However, officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage that could assist with their enquiries.
