Forest Green boss Robbie Savage has solved his goalkeeping crisis with the signing of vastly experienced Harry Isted from Burton Albion.
Savage was forced to move for a new goalkeeper following a knee injury to Luke McNicholas this week.
Isted, 28, signed for the Brewers in July 2024 from Charlton Athletic. He caught the eye at Charlton, playing every minute under Nathan Jones in the final 16 games of the season which consisted of an impressive 14 game unbeaten run.
Born in Chichester, Histed had spells at Southampton, Portsmouth and Stoke City as a youngster, before signing a professional deal with Luton Town in 2017.
The goalkeeper had loan spells at Chesham United, Oxford City and Wealdstone before really establishing himself in the EFL, having been a large part of Barnsley’s promotion push in the 2022/23 season, just missing out in the play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday.
