Boy knocked unconscious in Forest Green attack — police hunt two suspects

Police are urgently appealing for information after a boy was knocked unconscious in a violent assault in Forest Green, Nailsworth, on Tuesday afternoon.

A police statement said: “At around 4pm, the victim had just stepped off a bus when he spotted two boys he believed he recognised and waved to them. As he approached, he realised he did not know the pair, who were wearing face coverings and tracksuits.

“The two boys then repeatedly assaulted him, leaving him with facial injuries and causing him to lose consciousness. The child received medical treatment and required stitches.”

Officers responded swiftly and enquiries are now underway to identify and locate those responsible.

Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or who has information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
