What products does your shop offer?
We offer beautiful household and interior products at affordable prices, all with a distinctive French twist.
What inspired you to open Storehouse no.3?
After running market and retail events for the past ten years, I gained both the confidence and the experience to open my own shop. Those years also helped me build strong relationships with suppliers and makers, which meant I already had a wonderful network of contributors ready to be part of the shop.
Who is your target customer?
Nailsworth shoppers and holidaymakers who enjoy discovering something a bit special.
What makes your shop unique?
Our style is eclectic, stylish, French-inspired and, importantly, affordable. It’s about mixing character with charm and making it accessible.
What challenges did you face during the setup?
The weather! Constant rain followed by frost made decorating the outside of the building really difficult. Inside, the shop has been very cold on some days – lots of layers and hot water bottles were required.
Why did you choose this location?
We always wanted to be based in Nailsworth. Shops in this part of town don’t come up very often, especially in such a perfect spot, so when this one became available we jumped at the opportunity.
How did you decide on the shop’s layout and design?
The shop has the most beautiful tiled floor and a fantastic shop window, so we knew from the start that those features needed to be the main focus.
What image or brand identity are you aiming for?
Cotswold French chic.
What are your long-term goals for the shop?
We’d love to expand into gardenalia to complement the rest of the interior range.
Do you plan to expand your product range in the future?
Absolutely. We regularly travel to France to source interesting and quirky pieces, so every visit to the shop offers something new and different to discover.
