For five days, beginning Tuesday, February 17th, visitors to Stroud’s Subscription Rooms will get an exclusive first public look at Emma Samms’ unique new collection.

From her detailed pen and ink drawings to her series of colourful, new abstract paintings, Emma, who many will remember as ‘Fallon’ on the TV series ‘Dynasty’ as well as starring in many cinematic roles, says she is “nervous but excited” at the prospect of sharing her passion for art with the world.

“I’ve been doing pen and ink drawings since I was a teenager, when I did my art A-level at the age of 16. The transition from pen and inks to my large, abstract paintings is fairly recent,” explained Emma.

“We’re here [at the Sub Rooms] all week, until Saturday. We’ve only been open 10 minutes and we’ve already sold some – it’s amazing. I’m so happy that people seem to like them.”

She has been selling her work, including numerous private commissions, for many years. In addition to being known around the world for her acting career and charity work, Emma is also a writer and photographer.

Sponsored by Wotton Auction Rooms, Emma’s exhibition will be held in The George Room of The Subscription Rooms in Stroud, Gloucestershire from 10am to 4pm, February 17th – 21st.

The artworks will be available for purchase via Emma’s website, www.emmasammsart.com, on February 18th.
