Giffords Circus shuts down for 10 days due to Covid outbreak

Giffords Circus has been forced to cease performances due to a Covid outbreak.

Tonight’s performance of The Hooley on Minchinhampton Common was cancelled after members of the circus team received positive PCR tests.

A statement on Giffords website said: “We are heartbroken that today members of our Giffords Circus team have received positive PCR tests.

“As a result, we are shutting down with immediate effect for 10 days in line with government advice. Whilst we know this will cause disappointment we hope you will understand.

“We are currently contacting everyone due to attend the show, tonight (Thursday) and from tomorrow (Friday) we will also contact everyone who has tickets to both Minchinhampton and Marlborough. We will be doing everything we possibly can to bring the Hooley back as quickly and safely as possible.”
