Renishaw, a global leader in engineering and precision measurement technologies, has completed a major expansion and refurbishment of its German customer service centre in Stuttgart.
The development marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in European operations and reinforces its long-term commitment to customer support across the region.
The multi-million euro upgrade has more than doubled the size of the facility, increasing it from 453 m² to 1,080 m². The enhanced centre is designed to improve service capacity, reduce lead times, and strengthen warehousing and logistics capabilities, enabling faster and more efficient support for customers throughout Germany and Europe.

The expanded facility offers a broader portfolio of local services, including recalibration and verification of probes, machine calibration and optimisation, certification-grade testing, and comprehensive repair capabilities. A newly introduced Repair by Exchange (RBE) service allows for faster turnaround times, while refurbishment of selected product stock further enhances service flexibility.
In addition to workshop-based services, the centre provides on-site probe testing using portable testing rigs, helping customers minimise machine downtime. Preventative maintenance remains a key focus, with services designed to integrate into customers’ scheduled maintenance programmes. Looking ahead, Renishaw plans to incorporate data-driven insights to proactively recommend service interventions before issues arise.
The upgraded service centre features an open-plan layout with scalable work cells, ergonomic workstations, and advanced in-house testing rigs to optimise workflow and efficiency. Specialist air circulation systems and controlled laboratory environments ensure the precise conditions required for handling and testing high-precision products. The building has also been designed to accommodate future expansion as customer needs continue to evolve.
The facility is supported by a dedicated team of administrative staff, technical specialists, and experienced engineers, many of whom bring over two decades of expertise in measurement and calibration technologies.

The new service centre was officially opened to key customers during Renishaw GmbH’s biannual Solutions Network Open House on 5 March, where the company showcased its expanded capabilities and celebrated the next phase of its regional growth.
