A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged indecent exposure incident in Stroud.

The incident took place on Folly Lane, Stroud, between 6.45pm and 7pm on Tuesday 7 April, when a man reportedly exposed himself to a 14-year-old girl. It is also reported that the suspect began to follow the girl before turning back when another man approached the area.

The man then left the scene in a black Peugeot. A witness was able to photograph the vehicle’s registration plate as it drove away.

Following enquiries, officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary identified a 22-year-old man from Gloucester in connection with the incident. He was arrested on Sunday 12 April on suspicion of indecent exposure.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said:
“Officers are continuing to investigate this incident and are appealing for witnesses, as well as anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time, to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police online via the Gloucestershire Constabulary website, quoting incident reference number 53260021849.
