Stonehouse Town chairman Nigel Sanders has issued a rallying call ahead of the biggest match in the club’s 125-year history.
Adam Coyle’s side will face Malmesbury Victoria at Oldends Lane on Friday, May 1 in their Hellenic League Division One West play-off final with a place in next season’s Hellenic Premier Division up for grabs.
In a post on Stonehouse Town’s facebook page, Sanders, a former Magpies’ goalkeeper, said: “Since being asked to step in as chairman of Stonehouse Town FC, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside an incredible group of people.
“The progress we’ve made as a club is down to the dedication, passion, and hard work of so many – this is truly a team effort, and they deserve all the credit.
“This Friday marks the biggest game in our 125-year history.

“Whatever the outcome, everyone connected to the club should be proud of how far we’ve come.
“The atmosphere across the club right now is fantastic, and that’s a reflection of the commitment from all our managers and players at every level.
Sanders added: “Of course, we’re all hoping Adam Coyle and his team can take that final step and secure promotion – it would be a special moment for everyone involved.
“Let’s get behind the team on Friday and give them the support they deserve.
“Let’s see if we can really wake up this sleeping giant.”
The play-off final kicks off at 7.45pm.
