A brace from in-form Jonty Welch helped Brimscombe beat local rivals Fairford Town 3-1 in the Hellenic League Premier Division.

Welch opened the scoring for Sam Prior’s side and Harlie Price added a second before the break. George Peare pulled a goal back for Jody Bevan’s side before Welch wrapped things up for the Lilywhites.

Brimscombe have made an unbeaten start to the season with four wins and a draw from their opening five matches.

Brimscombe are next in action on Wednesday, September 8th when Royal Wootton Bassett visit the Meadow, 7.45pm.
