Road closure following two vehicle collision

A stretch of the A417 has been closed following a two vehicle collision this morning, Thursday.

Police were called at 10.35am with a report of a collision involving a car and a loose trailer near to Elkstone.

The road is currently blocked between Gloucester and Cirencester while emergency services remain at the scene.

Those involved in the collision are not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

Motorists are asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area if possible.
