Stroud School of Art, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS), has welcomed hundreds of visitors to its annual end of year exhibition, celebrating the creativity, innovation and achievements of students across a range of creative disciplines.

The exhibition opened with a vibrant private view evening attended by more than 650 visitors, alongside around 150 students. A further 180 guests visited the exhibition on Saturday, demonstrating strong support from families, friends and the wider community.

Showcasing work from students studying Art & Design, Photography, Creative Media and Fashion, the exhibition has transformed the SGS Stroud Campus into a dynamic display of emerging talent. Visitors have had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of work, reflecting the dedication, technical skills and creative vision developed by students throughout the academic year.

The opening night created a fantastic atmosphere, bringing together students, families, staff and members of the local community to celebrate the year’s achievements and the important role of the arts in education and industry.

Alongside the exhibition, the Summer Gig at Lansdown Hall & Gallery on Friday 5 June welcomed students and staff for an evening of live music performances, showcasing the talent and hard work of student musicians as the academic year draws to a close.

The celebrations will continue with the Stroud School of Art Fashion Show on Thursday 18 June at SGS Stroud Campus. The end-of-year catwalk event will showcase the creativity, innovation and talent of Fashion students, providing a platform for learners to present their work to family, friends, staff and the wider community.

Tom Henderson, Learning Area Manager for Art and Design at Stroud School of Art, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and all their fantastic work in our end of year exhibition, fashion show and music performance. To see so much inspiring creativity tells us how important the arts are for our community and for industry. What our students have done is meaningful, empowering and uplifting, so we hope everyone will join us in celebrating their achievements this year.

“As they make themselves ready for their next steps, we hope they have enjoyed everything they have done this year and we can’t wait to see what they do next.

“A big thanks to all the staff who supported the shows coming together, too. The time, energy and patience they put into making our shows happen is not lost or forgotten.”

The End of Year Exhibition highlights the breadth of creative opportunities available at Stroud School of Art, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS), and demonstrates the continued importance of the arts within both the local community and the wider creative industries.

The exhibition remains open to visitors until Friday 12 June, from 10am to 3pm, at SGS Stroud Campus, Stratford Road, Stroud. Entry is free and members of the public are warmly invited to explore the outstanding work produced by this year’s students.
