Wotton Auction Rooms auctioneer Joseph Trinder has toasted a “fabulous” day after taking centre stage at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival, alongside two of the country’s best-known auctioneers and TV personalities.
Trinder proudly represented Wotton Auction Rooms at the event, sharing the rostrum with legendary IPL cricket auctioneer Richard Madley and Izzie Balmer, auctioneer, valuer and television presenter best known for BBC daytime shows including Antiques Road Trip, Bargain Hunt and The Travelling Auctioneers.
The trio talked cricket, television and antiques while also providing valuations and guidance to a VIP guest list, all in support of The Big Space Cancer Appeal, run by Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity.
Trinder said: “What an absolutely fabulous day spent proudly representing Wotton Auction Rooms at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival 2026 in superlative company on stage with the one and only Richard Madley and Izzie, talking cricket, TV, antiques, antics and more, whilst also providing valuations and guidance to a VIP guest list, all in support of the invaluable work of The Big Space Cancer Appeal.”
And the cricket theme didn’t stop at the auction rostrum.
Trinder teased followers with the promise of videos from the day, as well as “a very special spot of cricket” between himself and a certain IPL auctioneer.
“You can guess how that went!” he joked.
