Forest Green Rovers have signed left-back Freddie Sass from League Two side Accrington Stanley on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old defender joins Rovers after making 31 appearances for Stanley last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist after arriving from Kings Lynn Town last year.
Sass said he is excited to get started with his new club.
“I’m really excited to be here; it’s a great challenge, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Rovers manager Robbie Savage was delighted to welcome Sass to the club and believes the defender will strengthen his squad.
“Absolutely delighted to welcome Freddie to the club; he’s a terrific player who will add strength to our defence. He’s full of potential and a great guy from a good family. I’m looking forward to having him round the place.”
Sass becomes Rovers’ 11th signing of the summer.
