Police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly racially abused a group of people at an event in Stroud.
The incident was reported at Bank Gardens on the afternoon of Saturday, September 5, when a man allegedly approached a group of people in the park and shouted racist remarks at them.
It was also reported that he ripped down flags and threw placards.
The man was described as white, wearing a grey hoody, with a beard and short, balding hair.
A man in his 30s from Cam was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and being drunk and disorderly in connection with the incident.
He was later released on police bail with conditions while enquiries continue.
Following the arrest, investigating officers are now appealing to anyone who was in the park at the time and witnessed what happened to come forward.
