TV and radio presenter Jeremy Vine has been spotted in Nailsworth.

The BBC Radio 2 presenter and host of Jeremy Vine On 5, was seen relaxing at Egypt Mill Hotel on Sunday and happily posed for a selfie with hotel customer Jack Lindsey.

Vine, 56, was believed to be staying at the hotel after attending a wedding.

Jack, who works at Renishaw and is a regular at the hotel, said: “He was lovely and more than happy to pose for a selfie and didn’t mind chatting about his Radio 2 show and his news show on Channel 5.”

Vine is best known as the host of his BBC Radio 2 lunchtime programme which presents news, views, interviews with live guests and popular music, taking over from long-time host Sir Jimmy Young in 2003.
