MOST READ

Police will be escorting an abnormal load through Gloucestershire on Friday afternoon (8 May).

A boat will be escorted from junction 13 of the M5 to Sandfield Canal Bank in Frampton on Severn between approximately 1.45pm and 2.45pm on the day.

The movement will exit the M5 at junction 13 for Stroud before travelling along the A419 to Whitminster roundabout, turning left onto the A38, right ontoPerry Way, turning left onto Church Lane before reaching Sandfield Canal Bank in Frampton on Severn.

The load is 26 metres long, 4.6m wide and weighs 68 tonnes so whilst traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to avoid the route or allow additional time for their journeys.
