Film director, actor and writer Alice Lowe spoke to Stroud Times’ Faye Hatcher about her upcoming ‘alternative’ Valentine’s Night film screening.
Next Friday, February 14th, Stroud Valleys Artspace (SVA) will be showing Timestalker, written by, directed and starring Alice, at the Brunel Goods Shed in Stroud.

She explained: “Timestalker is a reincarnation rom-com, and it’s a sort of rom-com with a difference where the heroine is in love with this guy, but he’s just the wrong guy for her, and she keeps dying horribly over several different time periods.
“It’s sort of funny and dark and has lots of different historical periods, but it’s also sweet. Basically, if you’re a bit sick of Valentine’s and you want a twist on it, come and see the film!”
There will be a Q&A session after the screening and tickets can be purchased here.
There is also an extended interview with Alice, where she talks about her love of Stroud and how her grandfather went to school with Laurie Lee.
The interview took place in a classic Safari Caravan, built in Stroud in the 1960s, which is available to rent as a workspace at Spacehoppers Co-Working in Slad Road, Stroud.
