This year’s Yard Trail Stroud is set to be bigger than ever.
Taking place in front and back gardens across the district, the community spectacular gets underway on bank holiday Monday, August 30th between 10 am and 2 pm.
The event pulls people together to buy, sell or give away anything and everything from clothes, furniture and bric-a-brac to artwork and plants.
Started in 2017 by Victoria Ashcroft, the aim is to connect people to their neighbours, keep landfill to a minimum and enable anyone who wants to follow the map on the day to pick up a bargain.
Last year, more than 150 households registered as well as multi-hubs, including Stroud Rugby Club, Crown and Sceptre, Sub Rooms and Stroud Brewery.
“We are very excited about this year’s Yard Trail,” said organiser Victoria Ashcroft, who started the event five years ago. “We cannot emphasise enough about this being a community event. We would love people to stick up posters and encourage people to get involved.”
This year we will see the very exciting addition of a Yard Trail App, making the entire event an interactive experience.
