And the Nailsworth Community winners are…

Nailsworth’s award-winning silver band provided the sound track to Nailsworth Town Council’s Annual Town Meeting and awards night.

Nearly thirty groups and clubs represented in the Town Square. Nailsworth’s Mayor, Cllr Mike Kelly, presented community awards to a host of ‘Nailsworth Heroes’ – people who have gone and above and beyond for the community – and the Nailsworth Poet Laurette read some of his work inspired by living in the town. 

The Nailsworth community award winners are:
Festival Arts Award – Ella Berry and Charlotte Miles.
The Chamberlain Sporting Award – David Frost of Nailsworth FC.
Youth Award – Rhys Jones.
Platinum Jubilee Shield – David Cox of Nailsworth News.

A special award was also presented to David Duval, the town’s timekeeper, for maintaining Nailsworth’s clock for many years.
