If you’re looking for a vibrant yet cosy vibe, a plethora of on-trend, independent niche shops and a great range of eateries to rest your weary feet, then it’s got to be worth heading down to Nailsworth for your Christmas shopping – boosted by the odd glass of mulled wine, of course!
“Despite it being a difficult year, the Nailsworth community and local businesses have remained focused, ensuring the town remains a fabulous place to shop and enjoy a coffee or bite to eat,” said Liz Gazzard, owner of Armed & Gorgeous.
“And while we at A&G have had to dig deep, we’ve been incredibly touched by the support we’ve received from our customers, both in response to our posts and for voting us the Muddy Stilettos’ Best Gift Shop in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.”
Despite more and more people shopping locally, which is great for a small town like Nailsworth, Liz said the last 18 months have been a challenge that turned into an opportunity: “As we have all discovered, it isn’t always possible to pop into the store and many people enjoy shopping from their own living rooms, at a time of their own choosing. So this year, we’ve worked incredibly hard to boost our online presence with the development of armedandgorgeous.com.”
Finding that elusive perfect gift can be a daunting task, she explained, but Armed & Gorgeous has years of practice when it comes to helping customers find the perfect present or outfit: “We can tell you the back stories to those special pieces of jewellery from our artisan designers and the histories behind our homewares, gifts, clothing and accessories.
“And if Christmas creeps up and you’re buying in a panic – have no fear – we can help! If you’re shopping for the woman in your life – then you can’t go wrong with jewellery, but to help us help you, have a look at what she already wears, and if you want to buy a ring, bring along one she already has, if you possibly can!”
Liz added: “It’s truly wonderful to be back in person, with our customers and we are really looking forward to a truly festive Christmas!”
