Become a volunteer and help children feel secure

MOST READ

Want to make a new year resolution and become a volunteer to help children feel secure at home?

Home-Start based in Stroud and Gloucester is offering a free 10-week volunteering course on January 26th at Kingsway Health Centre in Quedgeley.

Home-Start Director Ri Ferrier said:”All parents know that those early years before children go off to school are vital in a child’s life and at Home-Start we believe parents have the key role in creating a secure childhood for their children.

“Our volunteers support other parents by visiting them in their own homes for a couple of hours each week. You could help parents not just survive but thrive during this ongoing crisis. The only real qualification Home-Start volunteers need is the experience of bringing up children.

If you can help us, we would love to hear from you. Download the application form from https://homestartsd.org/volunteering/ or call  01453 297470.
