Chipping Sodbury 2 Brimscombe & Thrupp 1

A sumptuous Lewis Beezer strike deep into stoppage-time earned Chipping Sodbury bragging rights over Brimscombe & Thrupp in the Hellenic League Division One clash on Saturday.

The match got off to a high-octane start as Tim Bond’s Brimscombe opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Tom Moore. Sodbury were handed a chance to level from the spot, but George Box missed a 26th-minute penalty. Four minutes later, Box made amends, finishing gleefully from a Kyle Head assist to bring the sides level.

With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Beezer popped up in the 92nd minute to snatch all three points at The Ridings.
