Stroud Times sat down with Lucy-brier Goodson, the new Marketing Event Co-ordinator at The Sub Rooms.

We put Lucy under the spotlight as she settles into her role at the popular arts and entertainment centre.

ST: What’s it like working at the Sub Rooms?

LG: It’s bloody marvellous! I’m the marketing co-ordinator here, I cover creative and events.

ST: Can you tell us about yourself?

LG: I’m an art theory postgrad from Goldsmiths university, specialising in continental philosophy and feminist theory. For the last few years, I’ve been working behind the scenes in the Creative Faculty at Stroud College. I absolutely loved my time there, but I’m excited for this new chapter with The Subs.

ST: What are your musical tastes?

LG: I’m a bit of an old soul when it comes to music tastes… my son had his first birthday recently and we frequently dance along to The Beach Boys, Françoise Hardy, Joy Division, etc. I absolutely loved Nouvelle Vague at The Subs and I’m really looking forward to The Bootleg Beatles!

ST: What’s the best thing about living in Stroud?

LG: Everything from the farmers market, the incredible creative community, the glorious green spaces, and of course The Sub Rooms!
