In what is becoming something of an August Bank Holiday tradition, Stroud Red Band once again staged their Horns on Horns Road procession.
Band members, suitably attired in home-made horns of all shapes and sizes, assembled near Holy Trinity Church and paraded along a bustling Horns Road, filled with Stroud Yard Trail shoppers and sellers.
The procession ended at the Crown and Sceptre pub, the first since new licensees Rhiannon Roberts and Owen Isserlis took over from landlord Rodda Thomas.
“This was the best ever Horns on Horns Road,” said Jeremy Green from Stroud Red Band. “ We had a fabulous horn making workshop the day before run by community artists Alison Cockroft and Norah Kennedy, with the support of the Town Council and the Trinity Rooms. So, the horns themselves were that bit more fab, and the crowd even more enthusiastic.”
