Big high street boost as popular independent shop announces relocation

A much-loved independent craft shop is set to bring a splash of colour to Stroud High Street as In Stitches prepares to relocate from its long-standing home in Cainscross.

The business is moving into the former Haberdashery Twist premises, where work is underway to transform the shop into a bright and welcoming space packed with traditional yarns and fabrics from the UK and around the world.

Customers can also look forward to the return of In Stitches’ popular knitting, crochet and sewing classes, alongside its monthly Knit & Knatter and Crochet & Chatter social groups.

Owner Christina Hinder said: “Whilst it is with sadness that we leave Cainscross, we are very excited to be able to move to the High Street where we can continue to share our love of crafting.”

A final moving date has yet to be confirmed as preparations continue for the relocation of the shop’s thousands of products.

The team hopes to open the doors to its new High Street home in early August, giving craft enthusiasts a fresh destination in the heart of Stroud.
