Charfield 1 Dursley Town 2

Dursley Town boss Karl Nash was sent off after offering the referee use of his sunglasses following a contentious penalty decision in a heated contest at Charfield.

With the game all-square at 1-1, boss Nash was handed his marching orders on the hour for disputing what he felt was a stonewall penalty for his side.

Nash told Stroud Times: “The referee sent me off after I asked him if he wanted to borrow my sunglasses. I wasn’t offensive and didn’t swear – I just asked the question.”

Earlier, Dursley started brightly and took the lead through Joe Gray. Town lost goalkeeper Ben Jagger to injury midway through the half and were forced to play Aaron Nash in goal.

Charfield improved after the break and netted parity through Luke Chappell. However in the dying embers of the game Dursley’s Ben Dolbear popped up with a late winner.
