Stroud Bowls Club, who participate in the South Cotswold League have played on the green at Stratford Park for 87 years, but with numbers dwindling, the club could shut for good.

Club chairman, president and captain Pete Williams said: “We have just 20 members at the moment. Our youngest player is 48 and our oldest is aged 89.

“We want to recruit new players of all ages and any interested participants are welcome to attend the club on Fridays from 6.30pm.”
