Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home and Stroud-based, The Door shared funds raised by 16-year-old, Rhi, who shaved their head and raised more than £600.
Rhi form Dursley said: “The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home are important to me since they are supporting animals in our community and I have a massive soft spot for animals, especially cats. I currently have 3 cats, but last year one of my cats got hit and killed by a car which I really struggled to cope with. I know how important it is for animals to have a good loving home and that there are lots of animals out there in need of one.”
“I really appreciate the work that Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home do and want to raise more awareness and support them.” Rhi recently visited the centre to meet some of the animals who would benefit from their generosity.
Victoria Robson CEO, at The Door, commented: “We are so proud of Rhi and all they have achieved by taking on this challenge. It’s always amazing when the young people we support choose to support us. Every donation is so appreciated especially in these difficult economic times and every pound will go straight to where it is most needed within The Door. A big thank you to everyone that has already donated, you are amazing. And of course, a huge well done to Rhi!”
Rhi will also be donating their hair to the Little Princess Trust. Donations can also be made to Rhi’s fundraiser.
