Bridget Christie hit comedy sold to Australia


Bridget Christie comedy The Change has been sold to Australia.

The series, in which the Gloucester-born comic plays  50-year-old mother of two Linda, who heads off for adventure at the onset of menopause, will air on SBS Viceland from September 18. And the whole series will be available on SBS On Demand on the same day.

Omid Djalili stars as Linda’s husband with a cast that also includes Monica Dolan, Stroud actor Susan Lynch, Paul Whitehouse, Darcey Wiseman and Tanya Moodie and a cameo from Stroud-based Boss Morris.

The show aired on Channel 4 in the UK in June to wide critical acclaim.

Meanwhile, Christie – who also wrote The Change – is currently on tour in the UK with her stand-up show Who Am I? Bridget Christie tour dates.
