Brimscombe & Thrupp boss Tim Bond praises club unity and progress

Brimscombe & Thrupp manager Tim Bond has praised the togetherness across the club as his side continues to build momentum following a steady start to the season.

Reflecting on the campaign so far, Bond said he has been encouraged by the support shown both on and off the pitch.

“Firstly, I’d just like to thank everyone around the club for everything they’ve done for me, the management staff, and the team this season,” Bond said. “The support from the committee has been fantastic — whenever we’ve needed anything as a group, they’ve been there for us. It’s not just the committee, though; the fans who back us week in and week out have been incredible. Everyone has truly bought into what we’re trying to achieve, and I think it’s clear to see the progress being made both on and off the pitch.”

Bond also reflected on the team’s performance so far this term, noting that while consistency has been a challenge due to injuries and changes within the squad, recent weeks have shown encouraging signs.

“It’s been a steady start,” he added. “We’ve had a number of changes since pre-season — with injuries, new signings, and players moving on — which has made finding consistency a challenge at times. However, it’s also given us the opportunity to use the depth of the squad, and everyone who’s come in has shown their quality.”

The Brimscombe boss believes the team is now beginning to hit its stride and is optimistic about the direction the club is heading.

“The improvements are there for everyone to see — just look at the recent form table. We’ve started to settle as a squad, added some real quality, and we’ll continue pushing in the right direction — one that this fantastic club truly deserves.”

Brimscombe & Thrupp return to action at home to Kidlington Development on Saturday, 3pm.
