The Five Valleys Social will kick-off a raft of activities next month.
A full weekend of fabulous food, live entertainment and kids’ activities, will take place on the weekend of Saturday, October 16th – 17th with the aim of bringing people together following the easing of social distancing.
Partnering with Stroud Town council and local businesses in the town, the event will run through the Five Valleys shopping centre and along a pedestrianised King Street which will be home to a huge dining and entertainment area for the weekend – complete with stalls, a music stage and plenty of seating for socialising.
Entertainment planned for the weekend includes a cookery theatre with live cooking demonstrations from talented local chefs, plus a full lineup of live music, children’s craft activities and even a magician.
Dionne Moore from the Five Valleys team said: “We are delighted to be working closely with Stroud Town Council, Chamber of Trade, and fantastic businesses across the town on the inaugural Five Valleys Social.
“It’s set to be an amazing weekend with lots of great food, drink and entertainment to enjoy, with plenty of seating and activity areas for people to come along and socialise.”
Tony Davey, Chair Stroud Chamber of Trade said: “Stroud has a great community spirit, and the town has much to offer its visitors and shoppers. This new event is an excellent opportunity to bring everyone together on a weekend, including a Sunday, and discover something new.”
