A bus driver has been praised after saving a man in distress on Tuesday, yesterday.

The Stagecoach driver spotted a man lying on the ground and promptly came to his aid.

Maureen Chandler, who was on the bus, contacted Stroud Times to praise the kind-hearted driver, she said: “I want to commend the actions of the driver on the no 67 Cashes Green bus which left Stroud just before one this afternoon.

“The bus was nearing the stop at Foxmoor School where a gentleman was lying on the ground.  The driver immediately went to his aid, reassuring and talking to him all the time until the ambulance arrived. I would like to say well done for his prompt actions. Hopefully the gentleman is recovering well.”
